Problem:

Create three 24”x36” Posters for the organization of your choice. Make one poster the Typographic solution, one an iconic/graphic solution, and one a photographic solution.

Solution:

The organization chosen was Care. Care is a nonprofit that works with women in poverty outside the US. With theTypographic Solution, the word overt is within poverty. Overt means to make know which is what Care is trying to do with poverty. The o has also been turned into the female symbol showing that this is the group in poverty that Care works with. The female symbol is made up of Care’s slogan “I am Powerful.” The Iconoc Solution, is a group of multicultural girls with something missing from their lives.The objects missing are all things people who live in poverty lack and the cultures chosen are all cultures Care is affiliated with. The Photographic Solution, is a series of pregnancy test turned into poverty tests on a receipt holder. Pregnancy test were chosen because it is a test only women can take so that shows that women and their children are the ones affected by poverty. It is placed on a receipt holder because that is the place where you put money when you pay for something and Care is hoping that you will donate your money to their cause.
